The Government is consulting on its strategy to reform children’s social work in England, which is set out in their report Stable Homes Built on Love.
UNISON will be responding to the consultation and is conducting an online survey to find out what social work members think about some of the key workforce proposals such as agency work compared to permanent workers and a new career framework for social workers.
The survey has been sent to members who have consented to receive emails and we are reproducing it here so we get maximum feedback.
The government proposals will have implications for social work staff working outside children’s social care and so we are urging all social work members to have their say.

The closing date for responding is 5pm on Tuesday 2 May 2023.
The survey is anonymous and should take about 10 minutes to complete. We will share with branches what members said and UNISON’s response to the consultation.
