Unison is encouraging members and employers to respond to SWE’s consultation on proposed registration fee increases
Social Work England (SWE) is proposing to increase its annual registration fees for social workers in 2025 from £90 to £120 with further increases until 2029. UNISON is urging members and employers to respond to SWE’s consultation, letting SWE know they strongly disagree with this unfair increase.

Campaign materials are available in the UNISON shop and branches are encouraged to use our model letter to encourage employers to respond to the consultation.

UNISON nationally would appreciate any council feedback. They’re especially interested to know if councils who currently pay/reimburse registration fees think it likely they will continuing to pay, should the fees increase.

Plymouth in UNISON have asked PCC to bake our re-imbursement into the Plymouth Book
